At the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Maharashtra’s athletes showcased a spectacular blend of artistry, balance, and rhythm in the rhythmic gymnastics finals held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, establishing their dominance. Maharashtra secured a total of 10 medals, including 5 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze. Parina Rahul Madan Potra shone brightly, winning 3 gold and 2 silver medals, including the individual all-around title, capturing everyone’s attention.
In the individual all-around final, 31 gymnasts competed, with Parina Rahul Madan Potra scoring 83.650 points to claim the gold medal. Maharashtra’s Shubha Shri Uday Singh More secured the silver with 80.200 points, ensuring a double triumph for the state.
Parina continued her winning streak in the hoop event, clinching her second gold medal, while Devangi Harshal Pawar added a bronze, boosting Maharashtra’s tally. In the ball event, Kimaya Amalesh Karle won gold, showcasing her prowess, with Parina earning silver.
In the ribbon event, Parina once again demonstrated her skill, securing her third gold medal, while Shubha Shri claimed silver. In the clubs event, Shubha Shri won gold, proving her strength, and Parina added a silver, maintaining her consistent performance.
The chief guests, Kumar Digvijay, Labour Commissioner of the Bihar Government and CAO of Bihar Bhawan, and Shams Afroz, ARC of Bihar Bhawan, presented the medals to the athletes. Shri Digvijay praised the dedication and discipline of the athletes, stating, “The enthusiasm and hard work of these athletes are truly inspiring. Sports are no longer just competitions; they have become a powerful medium for self-development and nation-building.”
