Yesterday, in Sion Koliwada’s Punjabi Camp, a 4 year-old girl was assaulted by a man. The police have arrested the accused and filed a case against him.Today,JKT spoke with DCP Zone 4, Ms. Ragasudha, and got the facts DCP said their office got the message yesterday evening The child was out of house nearby,The child engrossed with playing in the vicinity with other children,by then man picked the child from there and the assault happened.The mother on knowing this took the child to police station where further the child was sent to hospital for investigation and later a complaint was also registered.DCP said the accused has been booked and in custody and assured a strict action would be taken on him.The accused is from Uttar Pradesh and working with some catering services and new to the place. DCP again said a very stern action would be taken so as it will bring some light to prevent such cases.Speaking with Ms Aswathi Dorje IG Crime Against Women and Children she said ,It is a very unfortunate incident.Preventive action involving identifying the vulnerable sections and proactively sensitising them is essential to prevent such crimes.
